Dickson County Amatuer Radio Club Minutes
The DCARC met in Rm.218 at the Renaissance Center.
The meeting was called to order by Charles Seay.

It was good to have Bobby with us, a member who has been inactive for awhile and Randy, who has been away to school.
The club ARRL liability insurance premium of $320.00 was paid and the new 2007-2008 policy is in hand.
New officers for the 2007-2008 term were elected at the May picnic held at Lakeview Park.

The white elephant sale took in $111.00. Previous balance was $23.50. The 'donation cap' was passed and we took in $46.00, bringing the new balance to $180.50.
The DCARC sponsored a VE Session on 6/9/07. There were four testees and all four either became new licensees or upgraded. Of the four; one went from non-ham all the way to Extra, a lady got her Technician and her husband went all the way to General, one upgraded to General. Congrats go out to all from the club.
Field Day was the main topic of discussion. It will be held on 6/23 & 6/24 at the soccer filed in Buckner Park. Richard Anderson, Field Day Chairman for 2007 had the floor and lined all the stations out. This year we will run 3F Class 100-150 W. Jerry Lewis provided laptops for every station this year. Thanks to Ed Tilley for helping Jerry get them set up.
The club decided to provide $50.00 + or - $25.00 for pizza for Field Day.
Jeff mentioned that a net was activated for weather on Friday, 6/8/07. We had 5 or 6 check-ins. The net is still on simplex 146.580 for now. We may do something different on down the road. Jeff says that the erectors started on the 300' tower in the North end of the county.
Upcoming VE Sessions are 7/14/07 Waverly and 7/21/07 Maury Co Corp.
