Hallo, Der neue kleine Afu-Satellit wurde gestern abend um 20:00 UTC bei einem Raumspaziergang von den Kosomonauten Gennady Padalka und Sergei Avdeyev "ausgesetzt"... Zwischen 23:55 und 00:00 UTC war er dann auch ber Europa das erste Mal auf 145.812 MHz in FM zu h”ren.. Die russichen Kosmonauten hatten einen 6-stndigen "Raumspaziergang" (EVA) unternommen, um einige Experimente fr den bevorstehenden Leoniden Meteor-Schauer vorzubereiten. Bei dieser Gelegenheit wurde dann das verkleinerte Modell des Sputnik-Satelliten per Hand in seine Umlaufbahn gebracht. Laut der russischen Raumfahrtbef”rde besteht fr die Kosmonauten in der 12 Jahre alten Raumstation MIR brigens keine Gefahr, dennoch werden sie fr das Maximum des Leoniden-Meteorschauers sicherheitshalber in ihre Soyuz-Raumkapsel gehen. 73s de Peter, DB2OS PS: Anbei eine offizielle Mitteilung der AMSAT-France Communique AMSAT-France October 27, 1998 AMSAT-F has delivered in September a new model of Sputnik Satellite ( Sputnik 41) This satellite will be on board of MIR the 27 of october 1998. It will be launch by hand during a Space Walk probably around the 11th of November. It should take the name of RS18. This satellite is part of the programm of school satellite made in collaboration with Russian school. The satellite has been financed by the "Aeroclub de France" for his 100 birthday. Technical Caracteristic: Size: same as RS17 ( 20 cm diameter) Weight: 3,5 kg. TX: 150 mW with 4 circularized antennas Frequency: 145.8125 MHz +/- 5 KHz +/- doppler.
