Partenheim liegt etwa 1,5 Km östlich vom SWF-Mittelwellesender
In English (Deutsch siehe oben)
my person:
It was written the year 1960, as i was born in the city of Mainz.
Mainz is located at the rhein-river about 30 km west of frankfurt airport.
Since a lot of years now my resident is a cosy little winevillage nearby Mainz.
Those how know the big mediumwave transmitter of the "SWF" at wolfsheim also
know this little town "Partenheim" - the heart of "Rheinhessen".
It has aprox. 2000 inhabitants. I am married since a couple of years and
i earn my monney, writing programms for computers.
How i get to be a HAM
Starting with 12 years, i disconneded the first old radios, interessted whats going up in there.
In a book i found a silly plan of an AM-modulator. I was extreamly fanscinated
about this, so i tried to build it by myself in hope to get a complete transmitter ready.
Later as i got an electronic-kit for beginners i found out, that there should be a little more pices
around this modulator to transmitt.
During this time in germany we got the "citizen-band" on 11m. Immediately i bought some of this "hand-bugs".
But the range disappointed me very soon. Thats why i purchased some days later a mobil-radio.
The same time as the housewifes talk gets boring, a friend, DF6PA Stephan, told me if there
is more than this: AMATEUR-RADIO
So i visited a course and got my first license. After three more month i increased up to a full license gladly.
During some years of building a house by myself, i got no time left for my hobbies.
But soon it is all ready now (expected autum 98) where you maybe hear a new signal which is calling : CQ DE DF7PN
