APRS

Taking it to the Next Level

Our program explored APRS (Automatic Packet Reporting System)  uses for mobile station position and weather tracking, plus digital communications. Partners from Nacogdoches and Polk Counties were also in attendance, and we had a great group of very talented and interested Amateur Operators involved.

One if the ideas discussed was the possibility of forming a Working Group in the multi-county area. This group could give advice and leadership on APRS usage, information for new Digipeater trustees, and help establish protocols to be used in Deep East Texas.
