Pineywoods Purgatory

For the 3rd year in a row, Amateur Radio operators will assist with communications for the Pineywoods Purgatory Bike Race. This is a fun all day event, with plenty of action - and a good meal at the end. Volunteers are needed at the Headquarters,  Rest Stops, and as "Rovers".

Note: If you have limited availabilty, we may be able assign you to a Rest Stop that will vacate early

Note: APRS mobile operators needed as Rovers.... This was demo'd in 2003, and was very helpful in showing the event organizers where riders were located. We hope to expand on this in 2004. If you are APRS capable - we need you!

The route for this year is very similar to the 2002 route, and covers areas of both Angelina and Nacogdoches Counties.
