July 26, 1999 Re: Letter of reference for Uta Hollstein. To whom it may concern: Uta's term of employment at FirstClass started on February 22 1999 and ended on July 16th. This was on a contract basis. Uta's main project was to set-up and manage a project team which involved the conversion of CD-ROM based courseware into streamed web-based products. Starting from scratch, Uta had to learn the existing and new technologies and then develop the most efficient methods for the conversion process. One of conversion requirements was that the process allows for easy translation. Once the conversion process was in place, Uta then had to interview and hire candidates who would join the "stream team". In all, Uta had to manage a team of 6 people. In addition to hiring the team members, Uta also had to devise and administer a training process for the new employees. The final stage in the conversion was developing a QA loop for the converted courseware. Uta also developed and refined this process. To her credit, Uta managed set-up this whole process in a very short time period. In the space of a few months she has refined this process so well we are able to convert courseware in as little as 6 man days. This was all done on an almost independent basis. Unfortunately, due budget restraints FirstClass Systems is unable to extend Uta's contract. It has been a great pleasure to work with Uta. She has proven herself to be a quick study. She works very well independently and as a team member and manager. Uta also brought to FirstClass her education and prior experience in the CBT sector, which is evident in the superior products that are now being created. I am very satisfied with quality and level of work that Uta has done at FirstClass Systems. I very strongly urge you to consider Uta as an employment candidate. If you have any question about Uta's employment at FirstClass Systems please do not hesitate to contact me. |
