The 2008 Duke City Hamfest will be located at Sandia Baptist Church, 9429 Constitution Ave NE, conveniently located at the intersection of Moon and Constitution in Albuquerque. For those of you who are GPS-equipped, the Duke City Hamfest site is located at 35.094902 degrees North, 106.541212 degrees West (WGS-84 datum). I would like to help spread the word about this great hamfest! How can I? Thank you for helping us promote the Duke City Hamfest! We look forward to seeing a large crowd from all over New Mexico, as well as out of state. Please visit our Printable Flyers page, and distribute them at every club meeting and Ham gathering you go to between now and the hamfest! Announce this event on each of your area's Ham nets, and email the flyers as attachments to all the Hams you know. We appreciate your help! What about accommodations? Several hotels and motels are just down the street from the 2008 Duke City Hamfest site! Please view our Accommodations page to learn about them. Will I be able to stay overnight in my RV? You sure can! RV weekend dry camping is available for FREE, and will be located across the street from the hamfest on Constitution at St. Paul's United Methodist Church. No RV camping will be permitted prior to Friday, August 15. Please reserve your spot by mailing in the bottom portion of the Duke City Hamfest flyer. What are the talk-in frequencies? Use the 145.33 (-, 100 Hz PL) or the 444.00 (+, 100 Hz PL) linked repeaters located atop Sandia Crest. Dee KC5JBO will be on the air to assist you -- he's the Voice of the Duke City Hamfest! How much is admission? Free! How much are the prize tickets? Tickets are being sold for $2 each or 3 for $5. Purchase your tickets in advance, either securely online or by filling out and mailing in the bottom portion of the DCHF flyer found on the Printable Flyers page! Last year we had enough to have drawings at least every hour. How much will it cost to sell my Ham Radio equipment at the Duke City Hamfest? It depends on if you would like to tailgate outside or if you would prefer to be inside the exhibit hall. Tailgating will be held in the parking lot to the rear of the conference center on Saturday only, and is FREE. No commerical buyers or vendors are allowed in the tailgate area. Selling indoors costs $20 per table (no electricity), or $35 per table (with electricity). Vendor setup begins at 12:00 noon on Friday, August 15, and ends at 5:00pm, when the doors open to the public. Security will be provided on a 24-hour basis, however New Mexico Hamvention Inc. and the University of New Mexico are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Banquet tickets cost $20 (single) or $35 (for two), and that buys you an evening of fun and food! All the Ham Radio gear you want! This is the place for buying and selling new and used Ham Radio gear, accessories and other great items, so bring all you've got to sell! The more sellers there are at the hamfest, the better it will be. We also welcome items not specifically related to Amateur Radio as well. What can't I bring/do to the Duke City Hamfest? Smoking is prohibited indoors. No alcohol is allowed on the premises, and no pets are allowed in the buildings. Will food and refreshments be sold at the Duke City Hamfest? You bet! We are making arrangements to have a variety of food available for your enjoyment. I have some friends who are not Hams. Can I bring them along? You are encouraged to do so!
