Hamfest Events
The 2008 Duke City Hamfest will offer more activities to its visitors than any other year! Here is just a taste of the fun everyone can look forward to enjoying:
- Of course there will be the traditional buying, selling and trading of Ham Radio gear. Commercial vendors and many hams from all over New Mexico and other states will be buying and selling Ham Radio gear -- be sure to come and look for that item that's been on your wish-list at a price you cannot pass up!
- Excellent forums will take place, offering many topics filled with ham radio knowledge! Topics may include emergency communications, ARRL/FCC, transmitter hunting, digital modes, antennas, and much more, presented by extremely knowledgeable Hams! See the schedule page for the complete lineup.
- Hands-on activities for Youth, including PSK-31 demonstrations, operating radios, making contacts from the DCHF special event station, and prizes! Click here for more details.
- Special event station N5M will be on the air at the hamfest, and Hams can take to the airwaves to make contacts, so stop on by!
- To round off the weekend of great Ham Radio fun, the 2008 Duke City Hamfest dinner banquet will occur on Saturday August 16, with special guest Dennis Dura K2DCD (ARRL’s Emergency Preparedness and Response Manager) providing great company and a wonderful keynote address. Details can be found simply by visiting the DCHF Banquet page.
- And much, much more!
Spread the word, and see you at the 2008 Duke City Hamfest!
