Hello Bernd! I saw the comment about Ammersee so I thought I would reply.
I visited Bavaria in June 1997, my first lunch on the ground was at at
resturant on the North end of Ammersee. I was in Weißenhorn for 10
days, then I went to Mindelheim. I was born in Memmingen in 1952, my family
moved to USA in 1953. I became interested in HAM radio in 1963, but I was
too lazy to learn the code. I was licensed in 1991 as a NO-Code technician.
It has been a lot of fun!! You have a very beautiful country. I met a few
Hams while in Germany!! The drop in and say hello method worked very well!!
I have 6m and 2m all mode, pkt, PC, etc. I hope I am ready when 6m opens

I visited your area in summer 1991 and enjoyed it very much. I did
an internet search for the Ammersee and happended to find your website.
I am a Amateur Radio operator and my call sign is N7UFH. I work exclusively
with 2 Meter now days. Meine Swiegereltern wohnen in Olfen KreisBeerfelden
