The radio amateurs of the region Hannover and the district Lower Saxony of the DARC e.V. will be offering a daily meeting during the EXPO 2000 (June 1st to October 31st 2000) between 17:00 and 21:30 called the

We invite all Hams and interested visitors of the EXPO to visit us at the following location:

IBM Klub, 30880 Laatzen, Gutenbergstr. 21
(approx.  400m away from the south fair entrance direction Laatzen)

Licensed Hams can use the IBM Klubstation DLØIBM
for short wave and the UHF / VHF station for Packet-Radio connections.

We are planning several demonstrations and lectures covering for example

shortwave digital transmission (PSK31)

radio-amateur selective call (POCSAG)

fast packet radio connections at 76.8 KBaud

as special events.

A barbecue for bike mobile Hams (operational, their rigs on a bike) and a YL-meeting are already scheduled.

There are also live demonstrations and "hands-on-activities" of our hobby planned.

The Info-Bus of the DARC e.V. is intended to stop at the IBM Klub area from time to time.

We are confident, that as time comes by the activities will be increasing.

There are several contributions from Hams of the region to support us actively during the EXPO. Volunteers are welcome !

The EXPO Ltd. supports us with free QSL-cards bearing the EXPO logo.
