 # 11 ..... Soviet Heavy Duty RF & Dust Proof Hand Key

Single new Soviet TKF and Dust Proof hand key with the FILTER UNIT. Type TKF.
Manufactured by "Cherkassy Telegraph Equipment Works" in Ukraine with LC antisparking filters
The key contacts are silver coated.
Designed for heavy duty use, they are very robust but can be adjusted for a very nice feel. Tension, contact spacing, and bearing tension can all be adjusted.
The hinged cover and base are a heavy plastic, as is the knob. This model has a filter built into it, but of course it can be used as an ordinary straight key.
Soviet military CW field operations were often very high power and "RF Dirty;" so the filter was designed to keep induced RF currents off the key line and eliminate contact sparking. There are four connection terminals on the back of the key: one is ground, and the others, marked "ABC" in Cyrillic are for through keying and the filter.
The key measures 8,7cm by 7,5cm at the base of the filter unit, with the knob extending upwards a further half inch above the top cover.
Purchased and received directly from Ukraine by YURI.

 # 16 ..... 1942 VIBROPLEX KEY BUG

Made by VIBROPLEX in 1942.
A very nice used Vibroplex "Bug" semi-automatic key, serial #121466, manufactured at the 833 Broadway, New York, NY (location in 1942), as determined from the Vibroplex Company web site.
Chrome is in great condition, contacts are clean and not "scratchy" sounding.  Set screw on one of the weights is not original, otherwise everything is original.  This key operates very smoothly.
I haven't used a bug in years and I was even able to do a fairly decent job sending with it!
This is, for sure, a beautiful key in my collection or just for use on the air!
