In my QTH in 2004

Thank you very much for your visit!

This is my Ham webpage to let you know a bit about me and my station.

I was born on the 24th of May 1983 in Oporto, where I still live, and you can call at 145.475MHz, where you reach me more frequently.

I'm studying Electrotechnic and Computers Engineering in FEUP!

Besides that, I'm a scout since 1989/1990 Be free to have a look at my scout group website.

My station started in June 1999 in the Citizen Band but soon I realized that I wanted something more and so I became an amateur radio with the lowest license in Portugal (category C, in the 6th of July 2000, that allows me to work VHF and UHF) with the callsign CT5HUU and the Yaesu hand-held FT-51R.

In the 11th of September 2001, that unforgettable day, I was setting my mobile station (KENWOOD TM-D700E) when the attacks occurred.

In the 27th of June 2002 I got my B license ( HF, VHF and UHF) and thus I started my activity as CT2HUU in APRS, using the GPS Garmin III Plus in my mobile station. Here you can see  where I am... and here with street details...

My home station is the KENWOOD TS-2000 and the GAP TitanDX. Take a look at the setting of the TitanDX in 26th of December 2003. My log program is the SWISSLOG, which, at the beginning, was a bit complicated to work with but now everything goes okay.

If you contacted me and you requested QSL, you will receive this QSL card:

At the moment I'm looking for a beam (probably the Force 12 C-4XL) with the rotator Hy-Gain T-2XX. I will install it in my 13-meter tower (280 meters above sea level). Take a peek at the setting up of my tower here.

Between the 12th June and 4th of July 2004 I will be operating as CQ24HUU. Check my information here.

Search in CQ24HUU Log for your Callsign:

Last but definitely not least I would like to thank everybody that handed me and still hands a helping hand, in particular to:

CT2HRE Hernâni, CT1AGI Artur, CT1DZS Jorge and CT3MD José

and make my station get farest.
