Station MIR presents modular construction, that is, the diverse parts that compose it had been sent to the space separately, for then being coupled. The last module coupled to the MIR was module PRIRODA (nature, in Russian), in 1996. The carrier of cosmonauts (lead in SOYUZ ships) and of load (ships PROGRESS) uses propellants (rockets) of the SOYUZ series. The modules of the station, in turn, had made propellant use of series PROTON. These launchings occur from BAIKONUR, in the Kazhakistan.
