Hello,
Welcome to my home page. In the next lines I will tell you a little of me,
my activity as radio amateur and my shack.
So, the name here is António Pereira, I was born in Lisbon in October of
1963, I am married with Ana Cristina (CT1YSX) and we have a 3 years old
daughter Rita. We live in the south side of the Tagus river, in Vale de
Milhaços located at 38,675 North 9,147 West (in IM58KQ).
In 1990 I received my first radio amateur license (class C). Six months
lather I feel ready to start, at the beginning of February ‘91 I made my
first QSO as radio amateur with Andy (HA0IM) on ten meters band. In the same
year of 91 I made exam for the class B. From September ‘93 to March ‘95 I
was operative from Angola (Luanda) as D2EGH and D3X in GI60OF where I made
almost a hundred thousand of QSO’s. In ‘95 I passed to the class B and in
the Summer of that year I operated as CQ7U for two week-ends. In February of
2000 I went to East-Timor where I was until August of the same year. At
March 23 I received from the United Nations the authorization to operate as
4W6GH from Dili (PI21SK) in East-Timor (OC-148) and I made the the very
first expedition to the Island of Ataúro (OC-232) with the callsign 4W6GH/p.
From East-Timor I made approximately forty thousand QSO’s.
There is not much more to say, the past is very recent, but the histories
are many to count.
As working conditions (as usual) a lot of stuff. As transceivers we have a
old Sommerkamp FT-277ZD, a Yaesu FT-890, a Kenwood TS-850S, a Sommerkamp
FT-800 and a Icom P42A. At the antenna system we have a Crushcraft A3S
(14/21/28 MHz) mounted in a 12 meters tower above the roof, one Tagra DDK-40
(7 MHz), one slope dipole for 1,8 and 3,6 MHz, inverted "V" dipoles from 7
MHz through 28 MHz including WARC bands (one by band), one Ground-Plane for
28 MHz, one Ground-Plane for 144 and another one for 440 MHz. Have also a
linear amplifier TL-922 from Kenwood, a old monitor scope Heatkit SB-620
very useful on RTTY, interfaces (for PSK, RTTY, SSTV and PACKET), a 1 kW
Marconi dummy, tuner's, meter's and other things. A computer PIII 700MHz
supports the station.
My home address it's correct on QRZ Database, however here he is:
