October 14, 2004      Parkside Baptist Church     attendance 10

Two new faces at tonight’s meeting.  We welcome Jeff Jackson, N9HUK and David Green, KF4CTL.

Steve Low, KB9QFT  read the minutes of last month’s meeting and Lois Winterberg, KA9IOS  gave the treasurer’s report.

Lois showed off the impressive new design  for our membership cards.  Design by David Dye, KB9RBC.

The club’s insurance company has responded to a request to send an itemized list of items covered by our policy.  Marion Winterberg, WD9HTN,  will review and see if anything should be added or deleted.

Many voiced concern for the status of the local Columbus Area Career Connection,

KC9BPW, 440 repeater.

Bartholomew County Public Library is having an Arts, Crafts, and Hobbies for Adults Fair Saturday November 6.  They have contacted the club with a request to make a presentation of forty five to sixty minutes in length which would include time for questions, about amateur radio.  Email Joe LaFauci, KA9OPL, club president with ideas or to offer assistance in the presentation.   Joe, Alvin Koffman (KA9QLQ), Scotty (KB9WCQ), and Marion voiced interest in helping with the presentation.  Ed Krome, K9EK was also mentioned as a possible contact.

(Note:  As of November 1, no one had signed up for the amateur radio presentation  so it has been cancelled.)

Volunteer to host the weekly radio net for November… Scotty, KB9WCQ.

Meeting adjourned.
