Others wishing to participate, please contact Noel or call Steve at 342-2410 Also, concerning the old van, it is for sale "cheap". This subject was discussed at the Dec. meeting which only brought up more questions of cost and uses of the van. Suggested uses for the 1977 Chevy Step-Van were for field day activities, radio competitions, emergency use advertisement at special events and for promotional purposes. Scott, KB9JQG stated he will bring more information to the club next month. Anyone wishing to be part of the Red Cross team to assist during emergencies please contact Noel or Lois, KA9IOS. Another subject discussed at the Nov. meeting was the need to put a tone on the 79 repeater to keep out "noise" from other repeaters using the same frequency. A motion was made to purchase a tone squelch which was seconded and passed. This purchase was made for approx. $30.00. A date to install it has not yet been chosen at this time. Tone 100.0 was suggested to be the tone in use. The Nominating Comittee for the 1999 club officers are N9PUG, WD9HTN, and KB9RBC.
