May 13, 2004  Parkside Baptist Church

Joe LaFauci, KA9OPL, presiding.

Minutes from the previous month’s meeting were unavailable.   Lois, KA9IOS, gave the secretary’s report.

Marion reported that the Fair Grounds has kept our $100 deposit as our deposit on next year’s hamfest.  It is reserved for April 2, 2005.  The price has gone up $25 to $375 + $25 for the office building used for license testing.  The fairgrounds are available for Field Day June 26-27 at no charge.  We held Field Day there in 2002 also at no charge. A suggestion was made that a gift of $50 would be appropriate toward the replacement of the Fair Grounds office building.  Steve Low, KB9QFT, made a motion of such , it was seconded and motion passed.

Plans were made for the club’s support of the Sandy Hook United Methodist Church Cross Country Bicycle ride on May 15th.    Those planning to participate included Scotty, KB9QCQ; Alvin Koffman, KA9QLQ; Chuck McTarsney, KC9DGD; Allan Wiseman, KC9BOA; and Noel Taylor, N9CJT.

The two meter repeater report (146.790-):

Marion reports the new controller is programmed, and  the repeater is running on a dummy load for testing.  Installation should occur within two weeks.

Net control for June will be club president Joe LaFauci, KA9OPL.

Meeting adjourned.
