June 12, 2003 Willow Crossing Round Table introduction Phil Dempelfeld coordinator of the Honeysuckle Hundred bicycle tour passed out maps for this year’s event. Cortland is back as a SAG stop on the one hundred mile route. This year introduces a ten mile route geared toward casual bicyclist and those with young children. This will include a SAG at the Tipton Lakes marina. The ride will include a benefit for the Special Olympics again this year. Mike Riley reports an appointment has been made for CMI Communications’, Don Ferrill, K9TWO, to make an examination of the CNHS site designated for an amateur radio antenna tower. This will include the installation of a 440 repeater. Joe LaFauci, KA9OPL, volunteered to continue to host the Tuesday night radio net at 8:30pm each week through the month of July. Field Day 2003 June 28 Mill Race Park Alvin has received word that the mayor of Columbus will attempt to make an appearance at the site during the event. The Callsign used for this year’s event will be that of Mike Riley: N9LTT Mike will be providing a computer with logging software and will submit our scores to the ARRL. Joe will make a few copies of the “Amateur Radio Today” CD for the Public Information Table. Any one having related magazines for donation to the table would be appreciated. Setup for Field Day 2003 will begin at 9am Saturday June 28 at Mill Race Park in Columbus. Every helping hand is needed. Alan Wiseman, KC9BOA, has a commitment from a company to provide a lift of between sixty and one hundred feet. Alan’s bungee cord jump has not been scheduled.
