6/13/2002 Willow Crossing attendance : 19 Jeri Gooding, Hoosier Enterprises (new management/owners of W.C.) employee introduced herself and welcomed the club to the facility. Phil Dempelfeld coordinator of the Honeysuckle Hundred: the Special Olympics will be a beneficiary of this year's event. A coach and athletes will be at the stops. There will be two roving sags. T-shirts this year will include sponsorship logos.... one of which will be that of the Col. Amat. Radio Club. Phil related that previously a pre-registration 50 riders resulted in 170 total riders including same day registrations. As of this date they have 105 pre-registrations, they expect to have 300+ riders this year. Noel Taylor, N9CJT reviewed assignments and details for the day. The club's repeater will be used for operations. A note that Alvin Koffman, assigned at the fairgrounds starting base will be cross band repeating using a frequency of 446.000 New business: Marion Winterberg, WD9HTN, relates a concern that several others have voiced about static on the repeater. Questionably weather related? Replacement of the Polyphaser, a lightning& surge protection device, has been recommended. Cost approximately $70. Motion made, seconded, passed for replacement. Marion will see that this gets done.
