January 10, 2002 at the Red Cross office at 11th and Jackson (1033 Jackson Street Columbus) Attendance 18 Stacy, administrator of Willow Crossing (formerly Community Care Center) attended to voice an invitation to our club to hold our meetings at their facility on a permanent basis. Some had expressed concerns over recent ownership changes there and how it would affect the availability to our club. Noel Taylor, N9CJT, presented a video based course from the American Red Cross, "Introduction to Disaster Services." Treasurer's Report was given by Lois Winterberg, KA9IOS. It was announced by Marion Winterberg, WD9HTN, that VE testing will be available at the club's April 6th hamfest. The Bloomington group and others will coordinate those activities. This information will need to be added to hamfest flyers which were already printed (and some folded) prior to this info being available. Approximately 1200 brochures have been printed. A group of volunteers signed up to help with this task as necessary. Discussion of possible Tornado/Storm watchers training was discussed. It was questioned that Dennis Moats may already be working on this. Future meeting site was discussed. Alvin Koffman, KA9QLQ, made a motion that Willow Crossing be named our regular meeting site. A second was made by Wayne Brooks, N9MUS. Discussion followed. Motion Passed. Joe LaFauci, KA9OPL, volunteered to be net control for the month of February 2002. Meeting adjourned at 9:35pm Steven M. Low, K9BQFT, Secretary.
