Minutes: December 9, 2004

Meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm by Joe LaFauci (KA9OPL)

Old Business:
Marion Winterberg reported that Burt Baltus is still working on the repeater swap out project for
the club. No date was given, however he indicated it will be done shortly. It was noted that this is
a low priority for the club.
New Business:
Marion Winterberg announced that there would be a Skywarn meeting held in Elkhart, In
for the Indiana/Michigan/Ohio region on Saturday March 12, 2005. This session is to
include advanced spotter training.
Joe LaFauci pointed out that the KC9BPW 440mhz repeater is back up on the air again.
Volume is not as strong as it once was, but the repeater is useable.
Marion Winterberg also reported that the artwork for the 2005 Hamfest has been completed
and forwarded to the printer. He asked that anyone attending a hamfest or radio event prior
to the Columbus Hamfest get in touch with him so he can provide copies of the flyer for
distribution.
Regarding 2005 Field Day, Alvin Koffman (KA9QLQ) offered to take responsibility for contacting the Columbus Parks & Rec Dept to reserve our chosen location for Field Day at the Vista Shelter in Mill Race Park.
Other Business:
Chuck McTarsney (KC9DGD) volunteered to serve as net control for month of December
The club wishes to welcome a new member to the club. Ballarion Stahr (KC6VBW)
Following Old / New Business, Noel Taylor of the nominating committee presented the club with a
list of officer candidates for new year:
