Welcome to the CAARERT web site. CAARERT is an Illinois Not for Profit Corporation which provides training in emergency communications and related topics to licensed Amateur Radio operators and coordinates the efforts of trained volunteers with served agencies in Sangamon and Menard Counties.

CAARERT and SVRC members participated in ARRL Field Day the weekend of June 26-27, 2004. John W9TRC and John KA9HLZ operate an HF radio station using portable antennas and battery operated power. Field Day is an event that lets Amateur Radio operators practice communications skills away from their home stations.
