Thursday, December 21 ~ 1830 UTC
The 5 element yagi
will be brought down around 1830. It will be left on Nauru with Ruben,
C21RK, who has a Kenwood rig that has 6M capability. Ruben has
expressed interest in putting the 5 element yagi at the very top of his
tower. Ruben lives near the Buada Lagoon as can be seen on this Map of Nauru

Nauru, C21JH Update:
Notes;
Hokkaido finally worked, completing all call areas worked.
Power went off at 0052 during a JA opening and didn't return until 1900 this
morning.
There is trouble with generator cooling (which is cooled with salt water)
and pipes have to be dug up.
Jack was advised that the power would be off
sometime on
Sunday for approximately 24 hours.
The Hotel has it's own generator but is under repair at the moment. It
may be running in the next few hours but may only have sufficient capacity
to power lights and essentials only.

Nauru, C21JH Update (0001 UTC):
Day 2 summary of operation 11
December, 2000;
0442 - 0445 2 x JA
V73SIX/b in all night
No signs of KH6 beacons unlike that of nearby Tarwara
No signs of other Asia - No E2 or R1/C1 video
Power outage 2155 - 2215
No signs of any propagation so Jack out of shack 2230 - 2400 to catch up on
some chores.
Conditions are very hot and it's extremely dusty due to a bulk carrier ship
being loaded up with phosphate nearby. Nauru is in the middle of a
water and fuel shortage, although concerns for water should ease once water
is pumped out of the deep tanks of an in coming container ship.
