About Nauru 

  Nauru is one of the smallest republics in the world.
  A 150-300 metre wide fertile belt surrounds coral cliffs which rise to 
  30 metres and merge with central plateau of phosphate-bearing rock, 
  highest point 65 metres.

Climate:

tropical, tempered by sea breezes;

November to February, westerly monsoon season;

temperature range 23 degrees to 32 degrees Celsius; and,

widely variable rainfall, 30.5 centimetres to as much as 457.2 centimetres.

Nauru has no capital, although Government offices are located in the Yaren district.

infant mortality 41 per 1,000 live births.
