Introduction |

HengSha Island
is located on East Sea of P.R.China( E121.85, N31.35).It belongs
to the city of Shanghai, about 39km from the center of the city.
To its east located ChangXing
island(BI4C ) and its south ,ChongMing island( BI4J ).
HengSha island was formed since 1851 and looks like "a obtuse
triangle". The island, the total length of whose coastline is
more than 30km, covers an area of 49.94 sq. km. There are 24
villages on the island and its population is more than 30,000.
HengSha island is also one of the most important marshes in
China. |

The idea of
DXpedition came from BY4AJT(
http://ham.home.sjtu.info ).
Hengsha island is enlisted in AS-136 group of IOTA directory,
and is the 3rd island to be activated of Shanghai Group in
China. This Dxpedition will be divided into two parts according
to the schedule and working on the different frequencies as
followed:

- 1200UTC 26 July 2003:
Island Dxpedition.
