About DXpedition

Pingtan Island located in Southeast of China, it belongs to Fujian Province, about 45 km from Fuqing City, 82 km from Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian. The island covers an area of 12 sq. km with several small islands around it. There is a small town on the island with the same name of island. The idea of DXpedition came from three young men:Ken/BA5UK, Michael/BG5RV and OU/BG5RO. The 1st island to be activated of Fujian Group in China.
