Club Minutes January 2010 Minutes to be approved at the February meeting. Approval of Minutes and Treasurer’s Report: A motion was made by Sandy K6SUB, second by Susan WB7SUE to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as read and the current treasurer’s report as read. This motion passed. Report from Repeater Committee: 1) Martin KE7SJB talked about some of the repeater maintenance that had been performed on the Cedar Mountain (Cody) machine. Old Business: 1) Elect a Vice President: Carol K7KD was nominated by Lynn KF7LYN. A motion was made by Sandy K6SUB to close nominations, seconded by Susan WB7SUE. Vote outcome: Carol K7KD was elected. 2) Jerry WB7S informed the group that he had made our reservation for the club’s annual picnic at Hyattville for the 3rd Saturday of September (September 18, 2010). (See item 5 under New Business.) New Business: 1) Those present informally talked about an agenda for this year. 2) The club web site: http://www.qsl.net/bhbarc/ is up and running but improvements and additions are an ongoing process. 3) The group was informed that the current technician question pool will be expiring later this year and we are trying to schedule another test session before the test that will be held at the State Hamfest at the end of May. 4) Club dues ($10.00/person) are due and payable. 5) A motion was made by Bob K7SUB, seconded by Bev KA7LNV, to proceed with payment of all reasonable expenses encored to cover the registration fees for our annual club picnic on the 3rd Saturday in September. This motion passed. 6) Jerry WB7S spoke about using ham radios to contact operators in Haiti for the purpose of passing traffic and some of the implications with passing third party traffic. Next Meeting: A motion was made by Lynn KF7LYN, seconded by Susan WB7SUE to hold the next regular meeting at 11:30 am on February 20, 2010 at Tom’s Café in Basin. This motion passed. Adjournment: A motion was made by newly elected vice president Carol K7KD, second by Bev KA7LNV to adjourn. Meeting was adjourned at 12:20 pm by Jerry WB7S.
