VE3YQK-2 digi is located 3 miles south of the Red Lake, ON at an elevation of 1200' above sea level.
VE3YQK-2 APRS DIGI was installed in Oct 2012.
This was a joint effort between the Lake of the Woods Amateur Radio Society of Kenora, Amateur Radio Society of Dryden. Dryden supplied the pass filter & climber, Kenora the rest of the equipment.
The sight is owned and operated by Prairie Mobile Communications, who was generous enough to allow us to install the DIGI .
It also houses VE3RLD, 147.000+ repeater owed by the Red Lake Amateur Radio Club.
It is consists of a 40 watt GE MVS radio, TinyTrak4 TNC, Sinclair pass cavity, and a Sinclair SRL-224 antenna at 150' on the tower.
