Bob, VA3GUN brought the meeting to order at 1940.
Old Business
Maurice, VE3MLF, laid a wreath on behalf of the Club at the Remembrance Day
ceremonies.
M.S. Arnie, VA3NOLJim, VE3JLN, the minutes of the September 9 meeting and the
Financial Statement as at November 9, be adopted as read.
Carried.
New Business
The club will provide communications for the upcoming Dec 4 Christmas Parade.
Marshalling starts at the Moose Hall down
On behalf of the club, Dave, VE3LMU, advised the 2010 Homecoming Committee that
we would be willing to provide communications for the Homecoming Parade to be
held sometime during July 31 to August 8th Homecoming Week.
M.S. Scott, VA3EXTNeil, VE3VNM, the club purchase Vests (5 XXL, 10 XL, 5L) to
give members better visibility when providing Emergency Communications.
Carried.
The Dec 9 Club Meeting will be our Christmas Banquet.
It will be held at the Barclay Hall, starting at 1730.
Supper will be pot-luck.
Members are asked to bring their own dishes, cutlery and beverages.
Sharon, VA3SJM, will co-ordinate food items.
Please call her to find out what dish to bring.
This year we will participate in a penny auction as a fund raisermembers
are asked to bring items to donate towards the auction.
To date there has been no response from Mr. Rickford, concerning our request for
a Weather Radio at Dryden.
Bob, VE3YDN; Jim, VE3JLN; and Dave, VE3LMU; hosted 2 cubs and Scoutmaster Bill
Laidlaw on Saturday, Oct. 17th Jamboree on the Air.
The cubs were able to talk to hams in
Scott, VA3EXT, has put together the repeater equipment for the emergency
trailer. It will use 147.345.
