November 11th, 2011 Meeting Minutes

President Bryan brought the meeting to order.

Scott, VA3EXT and Bob, VA3GUN, are working on getting a cart for the generator at the Repeater site.
Jamboree on the Air didn’t happen this year.
Pumpkin Patrol:
Gate Nite: 8 members participated: Bob, VE3YDN ; Scott, VA3EXT; Neil, VE3VNM; Bryan, VA3BRY; Ken, VE3VGM; Arnie, VA3NOL; Bob, VA3GUN; Dave, VE3LMU
Halloween Nite: 6 members participated: Bob, VE3YDN; Neil, VE3VGM; Ken, VE3VGM; Bob, VA3GUN; Bryan, VA3BRY; Arnie, VA3NOL.
Bob, VE3YDN and Scott, VA3EXT are proposing 2 Radio Boxes: one for VHF/UHF/APRS; and one for HF Radio; and a hardware box for each containing associated cables, power supplies. They are still compiling prices. Scott, VA3EXT, suggested the club purchase a small trailer to store the equipment in.
Bryan, VA3BRY, and Dave, VE3LMU still working on club brochure.
New Business:
The Christmas Parade happens on Friday,
December 2nd—members to assemble at 1745 on
The Christmas Supper will be held (tentatively—VE3YDN will confirm) at the Dryden Flying Club Base on Wednesday, Dec 14th. Looking for a volunteer to cook the turkey.
Scott, VA3EXT, is planning to change the Bearpaw Repeater (VA3BPL) to APRS only as it is not being used as a voice repeater. Camp Robinson (VE3VBY) must be retuned at some time to improve its range.
