January 11, 2012 Meeting Minutes

Vice President Bob, VA3GUN, brought meeting to order.

M.S.—Neil, VE3VNM; Scott, VA3EXT—minutes of the 09Nov11 meeting be adopted as read,  Carried.

Cart for Generator—the trailer Bob was looking at was unavailable.

Club Brochure—no action.

Christmas Parade—10 members provided communications support.

Christmas Supper—everyone had a good time…although attendance was low.

Scott, VA3EXT, is planning to convert the BearPaw Repeater from a voice repeater to an APRS node.  The Black Hawk repeater now provides coverage over the bottom half of Highway 502, and the Dryden repeater covers the top half, so a voice repeater is no longer needed.

Cargo Trailer—we may be able to find a previously owned trailer on ebay/CKDR.

Dog Sled Races—in mid to late February—Neil, VE3VNM, will check with Clayton Schneider for date.

Bob, VE3YDN, reported there may be another public school simulated lock-down—no time frame yet.

Scott, VA3EXT will side-mount a vertical on the tower at the EOC.

Neil, VE3VNM, moved the meeting adjourn.

Scott, VA3EXT, won the 50/50 Draw.
