Santa Barbara Section Council of Clubs
The biannual meeting of the Santa Barbara Section Council of Clubs was held at the regular time and place in Ventura on Saturday, February 12, 2005.
The meeting was called to order at 10:15 a.m. with Vice-Chairman Lloyd Oleson (KE6BBP) presiding. The Chairman has indicated he would not be present. Jack Bankson (AD6AD) was appointed by the chairman as acting secretary as the secretary was not present.
Delegates representing all eight paid-up member clubs were attending and a quorum was declared. (See attached list of member clubs.)
A motion was passed to change the council bylaw number 3 to read as
follows:
“3. Meetings. Regular meetings shall be held on the second Saturday of
August and the second Saturday in February. Special meetings may be
called by the Chairman upon the written request of any five council
members. Notices shall be sent to member clubs concerning special
meetings and the business to be transacted. Only such business as
designated shall be transacted. Such notices shall be sent so that they
arrive not less than 30 days before the meeting.”
The above motion moved the August meeting day from the second
Sunday to the second Saturday in August.
Concern was expressed that the action taken at the February 2004 to authorize the opening a checking account for the council has not been acted upon.
Additionally, concern was expressed regarding the council Web site and the fact that the minutes of the February 2004 regular meeting have not been posted on the site.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 11:41 a.m.
