ARMS MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
SHARON JENSEN, KA7DAC

A quick glance at this week's spotlight page might be deceiving. It looks a lot like the last one for Don, KC7WV. That's because the pictures are the same. And that's because this is the first married couple to be featured on the ARMS spotlight page.

This week's spotlight is on Sharon Jensen, KA7DAC.

Sharon was first licensed in 1984 and holds a General Class license. She enjoys helping with public service events on two meters or 440 and chatting with Don when one of them is mobile. Take a look at Don's spotlight article to read about their station.

The Jensens met because of ham radio. Her deceased husband was a ham. Don had heard via another ham that Sharon had some equipment she might be interested in selling. So Don gave her a call and they talked. He ended up not only buying the equipment, he also got a wife! Not a bad deal!

Sharon is a retired special education teacher. She now works for the Mexico Branch of Wycliffe Bible Translators in Catalina, Arizona, as the mailroom manager. She helps in the Sunday school at church and is a substitute teacher when needed. Several times through the year she is also a hostess for the Sunday fellowship time and helps with potluck meals.

Sharon has two children. Both live in Tucson, Arizona. Her daughter is a specialty nurse in women's health at a local hospital. Her daughter's husband is a Tucson police officer. They have four children.

Her son and his wife work for Raytheon and are going to night school, where they are working on their B.A. degrees in Computer Sciences. They also have four children.

The verse that Sharon picks as her favorite is from Luke 1:37: "For with God nothing shall be impossible."

We'd like to feature a different ARMS member each week if possible. Contact the webmaster Lew / N0CXY to be featured in the member spotlight and if you have a shack pic include that also with the spotlight information.
