Marion, Iowa. Tom was first licensed in 1978 and currently
holds an Amateur Extra Class license. He joined ARMS in
March of 1985.
was first introduced to ARMS while stationed at Hill AFB, in
Ogden, UT as the operator at the Base MARS station, to set
up and reactivate it. Tom had a visitor enter the station,
who asked if he could use one of the radio positions to
check into a net during his break time. The Collins KWM-2A
was tuned up using the log periodic on 14.307.5 Mhz. When
the net control asked for further check-ins, the transmitter

Kelly (34) and three from Deb's previous marriage, but
