This was the Anchorage Hope Cottage annual Walk and Roll for hope
fundraiser. Nearly 1,800 participants received pledges and then
traversed the approximate 20 mile course throughout the Anchorage
trail system. Amateur radio communicators manned 5 check points
and three busses. Two of the busses were equipped with APRS beacon
stations which provided significant enhancement to our dispatch
efforts. A great job by all, and special thanks to Harvey Rookus,
NL7DK, for again coordinating the HAM effort.
