May Dinner Meeting / Fox Hunt
The May ARCS meeting will be an enjoyable and fun evening beginning with us meeting at Carey Hilliard’s on Skidaway (near 52nd St.,) in their banquet room, (if there is no paid “booked” event scheduled,) Saturday, May 17th, beginning around 5:45pm, with ordering meals beginning around 6pm. (In the unlikely event that the baquet room is rented, then we would seat ourselves in the regualr dining area.)
Around 7pm, one ham will be designated "the fox," and will go hide in between designated boundaries. 15-20 minutes later, participating hams will try to find "the fox" who will make periodic transmissions on a simplex frequency. The person who finds "the fox" first is the winner of that round. There may be time for another "fox hunt" afterwards.
ARCS members and area hams are invited to join us for dinner and the “Fox Hunt.”
NOTE: Since we have a fun event planned for May 17th, there will be no regular ARCS meeting May 13th at Memorial Medical Health University.

The Amateur Radio Club of Savannah Field Day will once again be held at the Air National Guard Recreation pavilion on the last full weekend in June. (June 28th and 29th.) There will be a covered dish dinner on Saturday evening. More details will be coming next month.
Take I-16 or US 80 to Dean Forest Rd (GA 307), take Dean Forest Rd. north towards the airport. You can also take GA 21 to Dean Forest Rd. (GA 307) and turn south towards the airport. Turn east (away) from the Savannah International Airport on Darque Rd. The pavilion is located at the end of Darque Rd. Be ready to show valid ID if military guards are present. Tell them you are with the Amateur Radio Club of Savannah Field Day Exercise.
