Paul (KG8OU) inquired about the status of a purchase of hand held radios that were to be bought then rented out to generate operating funds for ARCARS. The units were to utilize public frequencies that do not require an FCC license to operate. Andrew (KC8SPD) explained that monies were transferred to a Chinese company that has yet to ship the radios and now contends that they did not receive the funds as agreed. Andrew said that the company previously told him that they did not ship them due to a shortage of the plastic cases for the units. The plant closed for two months during this timeframe. A full report was requested by Jerri (KC8YRQ) to be presented to the club at the March meeting.
