May 1999 ARCARS Meeting
Motion to accept the treasure’s report by Ellie (N8EXE), seconded by Walt (WA8FPF), accepted.
OLD BUSINESS:
A preliminary assessment for the work on the tower project needs to be done to commence.
While the cement base is done, now we need to fit the tower to the base.
CLUB COMPUTERS: No problems reported at this time.
NET: KI8CL is the Net Manager for the summer months.
Please remember to check into the weekly ARCARS Net at 8pm Tuesdays.
Also try to support other nets in the area.
FIELD DAY: The site is secure and we should be in good shape for field day. The T.E.T. Antennas need attention, and the red power supply requires a new switch for the A-B Generator switching apparatus. An inventory on the tower sections, bases, and tower stakes needs to be done. Gene (NA8I) has Paul’s (KG8OU) tower lift and needs to configure it to work with his truck.
Stations: At present, we are planning to have one HF/CW (NA8I) station and one HF/SSB (KI8CL) station. Kip and Shannon have agreed to man the 2 Meter SSB stations as well. Station.
Field Day Saturday Cook Out. It was decided that we will hold a cook out in the evening. Bring your own entrée and a dish to pass.
CLUB STATION:
No problems reported with the 146.800 (NA8I /ARCARS) and the packet station (KC8CXJ).

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The following members have passed the Advanced Skywarn class: Ed Cook, Ed Spore, Dale Walitiem (N8LHV), Jim Wilson (N8SVI), KB8MFK, Kip & Shannon, Paul and Gerrie Mercurio, Tom Richert, and Dan Johnson.
The Red Cross is looking for volunteers to drive to Detroit to deliver blood.
