Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order on March 4, 2007 with 9 members and guests present.
MOTION:

There were no specific relief operations requiring an ARCARS call out reported.NET REPORT:
Edgar (KC8VLV) reported that net attendance has been consistent with 7 or 8 checking in to the weekly net. Please make note to participate Tuesday evenings at 8pm, on 146.800MHz.SPECIAL EVENTS:
none planned at this time.CLUB STATION:
The batteries in the TNC’s need to be replaced. The 2 meter radio is not in working condition and should be replaced.NEWSLETTER:

Field Day is approaching. The event will be held June 22, 23, and 24th this year. The site is secure and plans are being made with more details to come in upcoming meetings. Discussion about food preparations led to a more individual responsible plan with a possible pot luck dinner on Saturday.DX SPOTS/ SPECIAL EVENTS:
Mike (N8MIC) reported working Bulgaria on 20M recently. KG8OU reported that he worked 65 contacts using split frequencies on 40M. He also worked 3 stations in Europe on 80M.MOTION TO ADJOURN:

The ARCARS & International Traders Net is held every Tuesday evening at 8pm on the 146.800 NA8I repeater.
The International Friendship Net is held every Thursday at 9pm on the 145.370-VA3SAR repeater
The Thumb / Mid Michigan Nets are held Monday thru Saturday at 9:30pm on the 147.300 repeater.
HF:
The Great Lakes Emergency and Traffic Net is held nightly at 8pm on 3.932 kHzThe
AC8W DX Cluster on 144.790 MHz is available. Check it for HF activity.Emergency frequency 159.120MHz is dedicated to emergency conditions that threaten this area.
