TREASURES REPORT: Suzanne was absent at the meeting. As of the last report our balance stood at $1,248.05.
NET: Rodger KI8CL our acting Net Manager reported that we have about 6 check-ins on average.
Please remember to check into the weekly ARCARS Net at 8pm Tuesdays.
Also try to support other nets in the area.
NEWSLETTER: The hard copy of the newsletter included a small map that indicated the Field Day location.
CLUB STATION:
Some improvements have been made to the club station. Mark (N8EGJ) purchased and installed two ARRL maps and a nice calendar on the wall. These, added to the new corkboard are sure to make the radio room more efficient.
Motion to reimburse Mark for the Maps by Dennis (KB8OCG), seconded by Gene, approved.
OLD BUSINESS:
FIELD DAY: The site has been cleared and the grass has been cut by Bob (N8VBY). Thanks Bob! We will be holding a secondary clean up at the site the weekend of June 12th and 13th.
The power supplies, radio equipment and antenna supplies are intact and ready. Radio operators are still needed to man the stations for the 24 hour event. We have added a strong operator, Trippy (WD8OEP) to the crew.
Items needed: gasoline in 5 gallon cans, lanterns and lantern fuel, insect repellent, potable water, soap, toilet paper, and any other items you would take with you on a campout.
Rodger (KI8CL) is bringing hot dogs for the Saturday evening BBQ, (THANKS RODGER!) It would be a good idea to bring a dish to pass if possible.
Friday, June 25, 1999 at 2pm is when setup begins for Field Day. Every person that can help will be appreciated! Although radio operation does not begin until Saturday at 2pm, you are welcome to camp out at the site for the weekend beginning Thursday evening.
Motion to adjourn: Gene, seconded by Walt, and carried.
