The meeting was called to order with 7 members and guests present.

TREASURES REPORT:

Suzanne was absent, our last report our balance stood at $332.13.

SPECIAL EVENTS:

Field Day was a great success! The Northgate Bible Church location worked out very well. We enjoyed lots of visitors this year. Many thanks to all the people that took part in and supported the event. Thanks to Suzanne for her financial contribution this year. Thank you to all those that brought gas and other items needed. Special thanks to the people that made the wonderful food, the members that brought out the radio equipment for the stations, the members that brought shelters, and those that took part in setting it all up and taking it down. A special thanks to Gene (NA8I) who’s participation (that required vacation time from work) was critical to the whole event. We took a lot of pictures and they will be posted to the web site archive. We found that we needed clocks at the stations in addition to the laptop computers for logging contacts.

There were no disasters that required ARCARS assistance reported in June.

CLUB STATION:

The power supply for the 220 packet system failed. Gene said that larger output transistors will probably fix the problem. The repeater has also been plagued with sensitivity problems lately. Gene plans to install a new GD7-144 Hustler repeater antenna to see if that corrects the problem. The repeater will be off line when the repairs are made.

NEWSLETTER:

Our site is visited by amateurs everywhere! Constant changes and up-grades are being done to provide a full service web page.

CLUB PROJECT:

Gene mentioned possibly adding a power divider and a four element directional antenna to the repeater to enhance hand held usage in the down town area. The cost outlay for this equipment will have to be explored. There also was a discussion about a tet antenna for future field day usage. Parts are needed. We did discuss special event activity in the future.
