Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order with nine members and guests present.
MOTION
to accept the December minutes by Kip (KB8WWH), seconded by Roger (KI8CL), accepted.TREASURES REPORT
:Suzanne was not present at the meeting. Paul presented the receipt for the 440mhz hand held radio for the sum of $115.95 for reimbursement.
NET REPORT
:It was reported that the weekly net is attended by the same check-ins every week. There was a lengthy discussion about attendance. It was further noted that the items on the Trader’s Net were dwindling.
SPECIAL EVENTS
:The International Space Station has been heard making telemetry reports.
DISASTER REPORT
:There are no local disasters to report for December. There was a Disaster Services meeting that emphasized the importance of having generated power at disaster sites.
NEWSLETTER:
As minutes are updated as well as any improvements to the site itself will be announced via e-mail.
CLUB STATION
:The 220mhz TNC has been replaced, the old one will be used for remote purposes in the field. Mark (N8EGJ) has secured an e-prom burner that can lock in the TNC settings even in the event of a full re-set.
CLUB PROJECT:
The club computer is now connected to an un-interruptible power supply to help secure information in the event of a power outage. A new route for coax cables will be sought in the spring.
OLD BUSINESS
:The Silver Trails Scout camp has informed us that there will be an event held there on Field Day weekend. We are not sure what effect this will have on the Field Day activities yet. The club insurance for equipment has not been secured through the ARRL yet.
NEW BUSINESS
:A 440mhz hand held transceiver has been procured to be used with the new IVR setup.
