: Roger (KI8CL) reported that we had 65 check-ins to the ARCARS and Traders Nets in November. The Traders Net items are available on the KC8CXJ packet bbs on 145.010, as well as listed on the web site. Reports of the nets are being, and have been sent to the ARRL station KB8ZYY in Oscoda via regular radio traffic nets.NEWSLETTER / WEBSITE:
Mark has added some Y2K American Red Cross preparedness information to the site. Please keep checking the site for updates relating to this situation. Mark (N8EGJ) has been adding new links to the web page (http://www.bignet.net/~arcars). We have an FTP link as well as links to the FCC and American Red Cross sites.CLUB PROJECT:
We will require new antennas for the tower, but it will be better to wait until after January for the ground to thaw in order to enlarge and re-route the pvc line that our coax runs through.CLUB STATION
:NEW BUSINESS:
The Director of St. Clair County Chapter Red Cross addressed the members regarding Y2K preparation. The chapter has added a new Emergency Response Building that is emergency ready in record time to provide emergency food services and shelter services if needed. There have also been some enhancements to the Red Cross communication system with the addition on Nextel and other services that should provide county wide service. There was a video made for the Red Cross, in order to make Y2K announcements on the local TV cable network.
There was also discussion about re-certification of ARCARS members in the Introduction to Disaster training as well as training in CPR.

Next SKYWARN training for the county is to be held February 28th. All amateurs should plan to attend!
