August 2000 ARCARS Meeting
The August meeting was attended by only a few members due to the vacation season.
Motion
to accept the July minutes by Roger KI8CL, seconded by Edgar, accepted.No Treasures Report this month.
It was decided that no business would be conducted due to the absence of most of the members.
A few ideas were brought up to enhance the meetings and net participation.
The idea of a public service certificate issued to members that participate in the weekly 2-meter nets was brought up. We will discuss the fine points of this idea at the September meeting.
A suggestion regarding placing a sign indicating the ARCARS meeting near the doorbell that alerts the meeting area. The current signage is confusing, there are buttons on both sides of the door. Some members that arrive late have had problems alerting the meeting attendees.

to Adjourn by Edgar, accepted. VE Exams are available at USECA. They use computers to complete the tests. Contact on theV.E. testing at St. Clair County Library is Scheduled for Oct 14, 2000 at 10:00 am.
The Friends of Marconi group meets every Friday at 11:30 am at My Place
