Ride to Action - October 15, 2005. This is the second year for this bike ride, which we helped inaugurate last year. It is a fundraiser for the Shaken Baby Alliance, is promoted nationally, and draws riders from within and outside New Mexico. All routes start near the Los Altos Golf Course in Albuquerque We need mobile units along the various routes and probably one station at the start to coordinate with law enforcement officials who are also expected to provide substantial support for this event.
Crop Walk - October 16, 2005. This is a walk along the streets of Albuquerque to raise money to feed the hungry. We have supported it for quite a few years. The operation is very low-key, simply cruising the course or operating from a fixed point along the course to be sure no one tires out, twists an ankle, or gets lost and that the rest stops don't run out of refreshments.
Duke City Marathon - October 23, 2005. We will be looking for the usual 30-40 ham volunteers to cover mileposts, support vehicles, medical, and race officials.
