July 2005 Newsletter
Internet Edition
Fellow T-Hunters and ARDFers,
On behalf of the Albuquerque Amateur Radio Club, the Albuquerque Transmitter Hunters and the Amateur Radio community in and around Albuquerque, I would like to welcome you to our website (http://mywebpages.comcast.net/ardf-usa/) and personally invite you to participate in the Third IARU Region II Amateur Radio Direction Finding Championships!
From August 1st - August 6th, the Third IARU Region II ARDF Championship participants will be treated to a memorable week by competing in the 2-meter and 80-meter ARDF hunts in the beautiful mountains of New Mexico. Training sessions will take place the opening day of the championships to help new and already-experienced ARDFers alike sharpen their radio direction finding and orienteering skills and learn new techniques. The University of New Mexico will provide excellent housing and a wide selection of food, and an excellent awards banquet will wrap up a week of fun and memories in the spirit of Amateur Radio.
This event is open to any ARDF or T-Hunting enthusiast -- whether you have weeks, months or years of experience under your belt. If you are new to ARDF or T-Hunting, please don't hesitate to register! You will return home after the event with a wealth of new information and skills that will help you enjoy this growing aspect of Amateur Radio for years to come!
