MINUTES OF THE GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

ALBUQUERQUE AMATEUR RADIO CLUB
4 June 2005
- Preliminary Items
- The Meeting was called to order by President Mike Pendley, K5ATM, at 0805
- Visitors introduced themselves
- Invocation was led by Don Grab, K5BIS
- President Pendley led in the Pledge of Allegiance
- Self Introductions were made by all present
- Gene Shiparsky, KM5EL, is home and doing better
- ARRL Report: Bill Weatherford, KM5T [sic]
- Texas legislature let die a bill to encourage the use of BPL.
- Bill reported on a new satellite called the Suit Sat (It's a space suit)
- A special commemorative FM broadcast Saturday, June 11, at noon (EDT) will mark the 70th anniversary of Maj Edwin H. Armstrong's first public demonstration of wideband frequency modulation (FM).
- Nebraska has prohibited BPL

- Field Day is in Los Altos Park
- Duke City Hamfest August 19 and 20 See Don Grab, K5BIS
- No N5VA report
- ARDF, There are about 21 people signed up the map is drafted and the software defined radio is working.

- Treasurers [sic] report was approved
- Program was given by Mark Brueggemann, K5LXP on his trip to the Dayton, Ohio Hamfest
