ALBUQUERQUE AMATEUR RADIO CLUB

- Preliminary Items
- Meeting was called to order by President Mike Pendley K5ATM
- Visitors introduced themselves
- Invocation by Don Grabb
- Pledge of Allegiance
- Update on Ed Aims who had a stroke
- ARRL Report: Bill Weatherford, KM5FT
- BPL has been withdrawn in Irving, TX.
- This is the last year for Emergency Communications tuition reimbursement.
- Local Reports
- Jerry Smith W6TER reports that gained support for his antenna from the state supreme court.
- Kermit reported that N5VA is open 5 days a week
- Jerry Boyd reported on the upcoming ARDF competition.
- We have 2 registrations from Kahazekstan
- Upper Rio FM Society made a generous contribution
- Software development on the ARDF transmitters is progressing
- They are still in need of volunteers
- New Business
- Freeman Pascal, N5FPP proposed that one of the purposes of AARC is to network and seek the clubs input for challenges and questions we may as individuals face. It became a good time for sharing information, ideas, and solutions.
- Richie Allen reported on the proposed electronics course. There will be a one day refresher on the basics of soldering where the students will build a very simple kit like a code practice oscillator.
- The Minutes of the last meeting were approved
- The Treasurer's report was approved
- The meeting adjourned at 0905
