My name is Brent Burnett. I retired in 1999 after 26 years with Atlantic Richfield Company.
I am currently back working at Mikkelson Bay in Arctic Alaska. I have a 160m low power station set up at the camp facilities.The radio I use is a FT897D barefoot into a quarter wave sloper coming off a 200' communictations tower.
I have been a licensed Amateur Radio operator since 1979 and Alaska has been my home for over 55 years. Former calls: WL7AJN, and KL7KJ.

Antenna's


4 element SteppIR; This antenna has the following bands-10/12/15/17/20/30/40 meters; It sits on a 70' rohn 25 HAZER mounted tower;
Low band antennas are the following; 80m 4 element sloper array; The four elements can be switched in four separate directions using two Ameritron RCS-4 remote coax switches (NW/NE/SE/SW);
The 70' tower is shunt fed for 160m with a 100-1000 PF 10,000v vacuum variable capacitor;
