My Shack

Pictured toward the right is my main rig, a Kenwood TS-450S, with an Ameritron ALS-600 amplifier.
The computer is always set on DX Summit whenever I'm in the room!

My interest in flying and the ocean is hard to miss.

---------------------------------

Working on my web page and catching up on answering QSLs.

---------------------------------

Some Polynesian-themed pictures to add some atmosphere...

---------------------------------

Some unusual souvenirs from my travels adorn the walls in the shack.
On the left, a painting from Uzbekistan. On the right, a mini Turkish carpet from Jordan.

---------------------------------

Two Iranian vases.

---------------------------------

The entryway to the shack requires you pass through some colorful pareaus from French Polynesia.
A display case shows various Buddha figures and other small items picked up from the far corners of the world.

Closeup of some of the Buddha images.
I find it fascinating how Buddha is represented differently from country to country.

On the roof with my Cushcraft A3S, good on 10m, 15m, and 20m.
Not visible is the Cushcraft R8 vertical antenna, which I use primarily for the WARC bands, 30m and 40m.

---------------------------------

Those of you who have worked me on 10m, 15m, and 20m have had your signals
pass through beautiful palm trees like these!

My street, a short distance from Pearl Harbor and just north of Honolulu International Airport.
